TraceLedger
TraceLedger is a Google Apps Script application for tracking personal finances in Google Sheets using double-entry accounting.
You enter accounts, economic events, exchange rates and any required market prices in your own workbook. TraceLedger derives balanced journal entries, account balances, account-scoped FIFO lots and reports from those sources. Derived tables can be rebuilt when the source data changes.
Use the application through the workbook's Accounting menu. The optional fetchMarketHistory function retrieves market history for supported instruments from external providers. Rebuilding accounting data does not make requests to those providers.
TraceLedger is intended for personal use. It does not connect to your bank or brokerage account, transfer money, place investment orders or submit official filings. Results depend on the data entered and the accounting rules supported by the application.
