TraceLedger terms of use
TraceLedger is a tool for processing personal accounting records in the user's own Google Sheets file. Contact: kartaltabak@gmail.com.
Scope of use
Use the application only with workbooks and data that you are authorized to access and process. You are responsible for managing your Google account, file-sharing permissions and authorization credentials. Do not put OAuth client secrets or tokens in source code or public locations.
Accuracy of records
Results depend on the accounts, events, exchange rates and prices entered, and on the accounting rules supported by the application. Compare records and calculated results with your own supporting documents. Correct inaccurate sources and rebuild derived tables.
TraceLedger's outputs are not professional accounting, tax, legal or investment advice. The application does not promise to produce statutory books, official filings or a certification of regulatory compliance.
Operations and data loss
A rebuild changes derived tables. Source corrections and deletions affect the next rebuild; the application does not provide an immutable transaction archive or closed-period protection.
The Delete initialized sheets command deletes the fixed accounting sheets and their contents after your confirmation. Keep appropriate copies and backups before significant operations. Google Sheets does not provide a multi-sheet database transaction, so a write failure may require checking the results or repeating the rebuild.
External services and availability
The application depends on Google Sheets, Google Apps Script and optional market-data providers. Outages, quotas, authorization rules or data changes in those services may affect functionality. Complete market history and uninterrupted availability are not guaranteed.
Privacy
See the privacy policy for information about data processing and revoking access. These texts are updated when the application's functionality or data use changes.
